Join us at North Shore Park in North Fort Myers on Saturday, April 27th. Open to the public at 10:00 a.m. We will have the M/V River Queen there providing information about the area from our Florida Master Naturalists. Tour leaves at 2:30 p.m. from the Three Fishermen Restaurant and head eastbound on the Caloosahatchee River as we provide an eco tour. This will include history about the river, discovering the flora and fauna along the way. Join us as we cruise along the Caloosahatchee and Orange rivers of southwest Florida on the “M/V River Queen”. Learn from Florida Master Naturalists about the history of the area, as well as the diverse flora and fauna.
Eco tours are informative, educational and fun! Tours depart at 10:00 a.m. and are approximately 2.5 hours in duration. Presently our eco tours go eastbound on the Caloosahatchee in and around the original oxbows, through the W.P. Franklin Locks into the freshwater portion of the river and back. Coming soon, we will have ECO TOUR BINGO on board and many new opportunities!
Enter Sweetwater Landing Marina at the driveway near the new larger boat storage building. Follow the paved drive behind both storage buildings to the marked parking lot. The M/V River Queen will board from from the floating dock which is located directly in front of the smaller boat storage building. Do NOT park at the restaurant.
